First book effort: Building a Grand Lake Canoe

My first foray into book-making using Lightroom’s Book module and Blurb integration! This collection of images is a visual story of the building of a square stern canoe. This effort was undertaken as a school project by eighth grader Gavin Dowley and his mentor, Dale Tobey, in Grand Lake Stream, Maine. Started in November 2015, the canoe was completed in March 2016.

Congrats to all three of you for making this happen! Such a cool project; I’m glad that my work with Pat made me privy to this incredible example of hands-on education. Can’t wait to see the book “in the flesh.” Bravo!

A beautiful canoe! Great work and a remarkable experience. I bet she is stable and tracks wonderfully. Love the Marblehead Hockey jacket you are wearing!
